Whether you're picking up the cello for the first time or returning to music after a break, private lessons are a wonderful way to explore a new passion, deepen your musical understanding, and grow as an individual. Lessons are taught one-on-one and tailored to each student’s level, goals, and learning style.

For beginners and younger students, 30-minute lessons are typical as we focus on foundational techniques and developing healthy practice habits. As students progress and their repertoire and stamina grow, longer lesson lengths are encouraged to support deeper musical development.

As your teacher, one of my primary goals is to foster a lifelong appreciation for music—not just prepare students for music careers. I welcome students of all ages and commitment levels, from complete beginners to advanced players. What matters most is a willingness to learn, explore, and be engaged in the learning process. Progress depends on many factors, including lesson length, student focus, consistent practice, and overall dedication.

Zoom Lessons Available

​

Online cello lessons are available for those who prefer or require remote instruction. Zoom lessons follow the same structure and expectations as in-person lessons and are priced at $25 per session. A stable internet connection and a working microphone are strongly recommended for the best experience.
